About Harvest Sounds
​Harvest Sounds is an independent, female-owned music agency founded by Grace Matthews, a seasoned local music tutor and performing artist. With a background that includes live performances at venues such as Customs House Newcastle, Seabreeze Hotel Speers Point, D'Albora Marina Nelson Bay, and The Lucky Newcastle, Grace created Harvest Sounds to bridge the gap between quality live music and venues that deserve it. Harvest Sounds is inspired by the belief that restaurants, cafés, and wineries, especially across the Hunter Valley, can be transformed by the atmosphere live music brings. We’re passionate about bringing live music into more intimate, experience-driven spaces where it can truly shine, because why should pubs and clubs get all the fun?
Meet Our Founder
Grace Matthews
Grace is a qualified music professional with a Bachelor of Music and AMEB Grade 8 Classical Guitar certification. Alongside her work as a performing artist in the local area, she has also worked in hospitality at respected venues including the Civic Theatre Newcastle, giving her valuable insight into the atmosphere, flow, and demands of live event settings.

Grace always felt her sound belonged in more relaxed, intimate spaces — but noticed there were no agencies representing artists in that capacity. She founded Harvest Sounds to bring ambient live music into restaurants, cafés, and wineries, driven by the belief that smaller venues deserve the same level of artistry and attention as traditional stages.

She’s passionate about creating live music experiences that not only enhance the space but also support and elevate the hospitality experience.
