About Harvest Sounds
​Harvest Sounds is an independent, female-owned music agency founded by Grace Matthews, a seasoned local music tutor and performing artist. With a background that includes live performances at venues such as Customs House Newcastle, Seabreeze Hotel Speers Point, D'Albora Marina Nelson Bay, and The Lucky Newcastle, Grace created Harvest Sounds to bridge the gap between quality live music and venues that deserve it. Inspired by the belief that restaurants, cafés, and wineries—especially across the Hunter Valley—can be transformed by the atmosphere live music brings, Harvest Sounds curates performances by unique and versatile artists who complement each setting. We’re passionate about bringing live music into more intimate, experience-driven spaces where it can truly shine.
Meet Our Founder
Grace Matthews is a qualified music professional with a Bachelor of Music and 8th Grade AMEB Classical Guitar certification. Alongside her background in music education and performance, Grace has also worked in hospitality at respected venues such as the Civic Theatre Newcastle, giving her firsthand insight into the atmosphere, flow, and demands of live event settings. She founded Harvest Sounds to bring carefully curated live music into restaurants, cafés, and wineries—particularly throughout the Hunter Valley—driven by the belief that intimate venues deserve the same attention and artistry as traditional stages. Grace is passionate about creating musical experiences that complement and elevate hospitality environments.
